Due to the rains we received during 2006, the green package on last year's sleigh got damaged. I saw a lightbulb that changes colors SEVEN times and decided that I would build a more durable package. Well, after a few false starts I got this Plexiglas box built and finally fixed it so that the color changes do show.

Here is a closer look at the new box

When I installed the stake light Santas last year it was so cold that the plastic stakes broke on three of them. So I bought two bags of universal stakes. And as usual, they did not fit. So I took two 1x4s and made ledges, then using fender washers (tiny holes in almost solid washers) with nuts and bolts and mounted the guys down to the boards.

This seems to be working fine for this year as a day or so after setting up the sleigh display we had a huge wind storm. The Santas rode through it fine. The big gold bow on,the package disappeared. I'm not sure when. The wind also knocked over two of the big reindeer, minimal damage to the gold buck, one bulb broken. To avoid a repeat of this I placed a 4-foot steel rod through the body of each big deer, in addition to the red clay brick cable tied to all four feet of each deer.
