Behind the Scenes on the Candles and Little Tree

This year to avoid the Noel Candles getting knocked over by any wind storms, I pounded steel rods into the ground behind the concrete steps and then cable-tied the candles to the rods. The real problem may be in removing the rods from the ground as they were driven about a foot into the ground. I suspect the rods will be there until spring.

A Back view of the little Christmas tree display focusing in on the new candy cane stake lights. I decided to replace the previous set as I found a recall notice on that particular set. It seems the Chinese manufacturers faked the UL Seal and were putting out a poor quality item.   The set has a history of shocking people and short-circuiting and creating fires. So I shopped around and found this set of ten, 12 inches stake lights on eBay.

The border for this page is from a website that has images from both World Wars, all Christmas themed. I've used something from the site for the three years so far.  Here is the original and with the use, I've done a bit of editorializing on the war in Iraq.
